Some of these can be abrasions, extra facets or other irregularities. Regular people are not able to see this blemishes, but trained professionals can tell the difference in gem quality. When sorted, the stones fall under grade categories. These are; type 1, type 2, and type 3. Type 1 gems are inclusion (material) free while type 2 has inclusions but are usually eye clean. However, in type 3 has very visible inclusions even with high quality gems. As a rule of thumb, the better the clarity, the more expensive the piece will be.
