Being part of the city that never sleeps, it is common to find overworked and exhausted people. Everyone can agree that sometimes we just need to take a seat and relax. Over here in Adamant Gold, we take our leisure time just as serious as our work. One of our favorite pastimes can be watching TV. When we aren’t working, we like to indulge in movies, shows and documentaries. An added bonus is when we find something related to jewelry. Therefore we’ve decided to share our favorite finds with the devoted readers of the Adamant Gold blog. Today we will start with the Animated TV show Steven Universe, made by Rebecca Sugar.

Steven Universe revolves around a team consisting of magical beings known as Gems. There is “Garnet”, “Amethyst” and “Pearl”, with their newest addition, half human half gem Steven Universe. Steven is son of former leader Rose Quartz, now deceased. Together they make “The Crystal Gems”, protectors of the Planet Earth.  The show revolves around the adventures of team, gaining more members as it progresses. Eventually, the series begins to take a more serious tone. The Diamond Matriarch, leaders of all gems, now threatens the earth once more.  Steven is expected to save the planet along side his comrades, hopefully able to live up to his mother legacy.

With beautiful animation and soundtrack, the show tackles issues anyone can find themselves relating to. Included is a sprinkle of gemology to please us gem fanatics of all ages.  If you are looking for something entertaining yet family friendly to watch, give Steven Universe a try.
